Submit final statements by 30 September 2024!
In March 2024, the final submission deadline for the final accounts for coronavirus economic aid was extended to 30 September 2024. This is due to an agreement with various professional associations.
Around 300,000 final statements are currently still outstanding. These are necessary so that the final amount of funding for companies and self-employed persons with a sharp drop in turnover due to coronavirus, such as in the catering industry, can be calculated.
Sven Giegold, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, emphasizes the importance of the final accounts: ‘The protection of all taxpayers now requires that the correct need for the tax money paid out is proven. I would like to thank all the third party auditors who have already submitted final accounts. Everyone else should take this last opportunity.’
From June 2020 to June 2022, over 63 billion euros in coronavirus economic aid was paid out. Around 570,000 final statements have already been submitted, but 300,000 are still outstanding. Settlements are made via the federal government’s digital application platform with the support of verifying third parties.
Use the remaining time and submit your final statements to receive the final funding decisions.
